These RM Williams Craftsman boots had been mauled by a puppy who’d mistaken the otherwise sturdy boots for a chew toy. In particular, the leather around the toes on the left boot had been chewed right off, reaching the lining on the interior of the boot, but (luckily) not piercing it. When this customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to repair the mauled leather.

Leather repair

We started off by cutting away the loose leather and sanding it down very slowly and carefully to smooth it out. We then used a special leather filler to fill the gaps around the tears and smooth out the surface of that filler, matching the original shape of the boots around the toes. Having then left the filler to set in place, we proceeded to recolour / refinish the leather and filler for consistency throughout the boots.
