Repair terms and conditions

SoleHeeled’s repair team employs some of Australia’s best repairers of leather goods, and is committed to providing excellent customer service.

We take great care in repairing customers’ shoes, bags and other items. We assess the condition of each item once it is in our possession and take reasonable and practical steps to repair it in accordance with the customers’ specifications.

We cannot assume responsibility for irreparable defects or guarantee the repair of defects that are not immediately apparent or clearly communicated to us prior to our receipt of the item. This particularly (but not exclusively) applies to suede and leather. Accordingly, we encourage customers to provide as much information as possible about the items and required repairs during the order / diagnosis process.

We cannot guarantee that attempted repairs will be successful and cannot be held responsible for damage caused to items as a result of repair processes. We will endeavour to communicate these risks to you provided they are reasonably foreseeable. Again, we encourage customers to provide as much information as possible about the items and required repairs during the order / diagnosis process.

Except to the extent disallowed by law, the services provided through this site are provided ‘as is’ with no acceptance of responsibility for any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the information on this site — the provision of which will not constitute any representation, warranty or undertaking (either express or implied) that the information is correct or that the information is current and up-to-date.

We reserve the right to refuse services to any customer and reject any item.

If we are for any reason unable to complete a repair after an order is made, we will return the item to the customer if it has been received by us and issue a refund equal to the amount paid by the customer less shipping costs incurred by us in fulfilling the order.

If we do not receive an item at our workshop within thirty (30) days of a customer receiving a box from us, or we are unable to successfully deliver a repaired item to a customer (due to no fault of our own or the couriers we use) within thirty (30) days of completing the repair, then the customer forfeits any right to a refund or possession and ownership of the item, respectively.

We cannot be held responsible the loss of any buttons, ornaments or anything left inside pockets or any other part of the item in our possession.

Please inspect your items immediately upon receipt and notify us within 48 hours of any complaints, concerns or questions regarding our repairs. Except for zipper- and cleaning-related repairs, our repairs are guaranteed for a period of ninety (90) days. If the repair fails, SoleHeeled may offer to attempt further repairs, in which case you may return the item to us at your own cost. If we find that the item is incapable of repair, we will issue you a refund up to a maximum of the amount you paid us for the repair and will not be held responsible for any other loss or damage (such as the cost of replacement or the cost of not having the item available to you for any period of time). We will in any case return the item to you at our own cost.

We cannot assume responsibility for loss of or damage to items while in transit. Please consider insuring your items upon shipping them to us.

By completing an order on this site, you are accepting these terms, which we reserve the right to amend from time to time. Shipping and repairs are also subject to our ‘Site terms and conditions’ and applicable FAQs, which we may also amend from time to time. Your personal information will be protected in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
