My 8 year old RM Williams boots ... were beyond worse for wear, but they now look new. The service was the best part of this, hands down, with everything sorted in a few minutes... Highly recommended

Boot Repair Services
We perform all sorts of boot repair and restoration services. If the service you're looking for isn't listed below, you'll be able to request a free custom quote during the order process.
Soles
We strip worn or damaged soles before carefully glueing or stitching new ones into place on the base of your boots. We use only top-quality European leather and anti-slip rubber soles to ensure comfort and longevity. Learn more about our boot resole services.
Full flat soles
Some boots (like Ugg boots) have one full sole, rather than a sole that's separate from or shorter than the heel. We replace the full sole, stitching or gluing a new one to the base of the boot.
Inner linings
The inner lining fabric often tears or shows significant wear over time. We patch these tears using custom-cut leather patches or replace the lining entirely where necessary.
Straps
We repair damaged boot straps or replace them entirely with new straps, including any velcro on their underside.
Zippers
Zipper damage doesn't spell the end of a great pair of boots. We can repair your original zippers or replace them with top-quality new ones if need be.
Eyelets
These are metallic rings around holes in leather/fabric, typically decorative or used to thread laces. We replace them where damaged and can even add new ones where necessary.
Stretching
Having to 'break in' boots is often the most annoying part of wearing a new pair. We use specialised machinery to carefully stretch boots based on your preferences. Learn more about our boot stretching services.
Waterproofing
Waterproofing is a necessity for new boots, particularly suede boots, to keep them looking sharp in, and in spite of, all types of weather. Learn more about our boot waterproofing services.
Polish / shine
We remove light dirt and apply conditioners to carefully polish your boots and restore colour to the edges of your soles and heels. Your boots will look fresh as ever.
Heels
Heels can be so worn that they affect your balance and posture. We build up damaged heels or replace them entirely. We also adjust the height of heels to better suit body heights and preferences. Learn more about our boot heel replacement services.
Toe pieces
The tips of your soles at the front of your boots are easily worn over time. We custom cut leather or rubber toe pieces to restore the shape and appearance of your boot's soles.
Insoles
A comfortable insole makes all the difference when it comes to enjoying a pair of boots. We replace stock insoles with orthopaedic ones or custom-cut ones that match your boot's shape.
Elastic gussets
Even on the most rigour-proof boots, elastic gussets are easily worn. We can replace them with top-quality gussets to get your boots feeling snug but flexible again.
Buckles
We repair damaged buckles, and can replace them with entirely new buckles if the existing ones are irreparable.
Stitching
We repair damaged stitching on boots with matching string, removing existing string and restitching lines entirely if need be.
Dye / recolouring
We use spirit dyes that soak into the boot's leather, permanently changing its colour. This matches the dying process typically used in the manufacture of high-end boots and other leather goods.
Surface clean / restoration
Leather boot surfaces are easily scuffed, cracked or otherwise damaged. We polish out scuffs, clean boots to remove dirt and stains, and recondition leather. And we even repair deeper surface damage with invisible stitching and patching.
Official Recommended Repairers
We're one of the last few Australian boot repairers officially recommended by RM Williams and authorised to use original parts in our RM Williams repairs.

Why you should consider a boot repair
Boots are the most versatile type of footwear. They can be worn on almost all occasions, whether we are talking about dress boots on a wedding dance floor or sturdy work boots on a construction site. Boots allow us to take on the world with an air of confidence that comes from steadiness of our feet and even the showcasing of our sense of style. So it's understandable why boots are the go-to choice of footwear for many and wardrobe essentials for all.
While most boots are made with a sturdy construction that should allow them to last years on your feet, all boots eventually lose their lustre or accumulate gnarly scars that lead us to believe they are destined for replacement. The soles and heels might be worn through, the uppers might be torn and scrappy, or the zippers and elastics might be completely ruined.
Buying new might seem like an obvious choice. But parting ways with a pair of trusty old boots can be understandably difficult — not just because of the money you have invested in them, or a desire to avoid unnecessarily adding to the environmental waste so common in the world of fast fashion, but also because you have formed a strong attachment to them.

Frequently Asked Questions
It's all very quick and easy — promise!
- Complete our online order form, where you'll be able to upload photos and describe the work you'd like done to the boots. You'll get an instant quote based on your selection and then choose to either proceed with an order or request a custom quote.
- Once we've reviewed your order, we'll email you instructions for getting your boots to us. If you live in Sydney, you'll have the option to drop the boots off at our workshop. Otherwise, you'll be able to drop them off at a local Australia Post office, where they'll be packaged and shipped over to us for free.
- Once we receive your boots, we'll repair and return them to you by courier.
The cost of a boot repair can vary widely depending on the work performed. For example, a half resole generally costs $99 while a full resole generally costs $179. And the actual cost in a particular case can be more or less than these amounts depending on how the boots are constructed.
Boot repair prices also vary based on the quality of materials used and standard of work offered. For example, using Dainite rubber or JR leather soles instead of regular (Vibram or similar) leather/rubber soles on a boot resole will add to the standard cost of a resole.
If you'd like a quote to fix your boots, complete our order order form. You'll be able to upload photos, describe the work you'd like done and then get an instant quote or requesting a custom quote.
The time it takes to complete a boot repair depends on the work required and the workload in the workshop when the boots are received.
We are generally able to complete basic repairs within 2-5 business days of receiving boots at the workshop. This extends to 1-2 weeks for most specialist repairs and longer for more complex repairs and restorations.
If you will be using our free shipping service (rather than dropping off and picking up your boots at the workshop), then you should also factor in shipping time via Australia Post. This varies depending on your location, but generally takes no more than a few business days if you're in a metropolitan area and otherwise up to 5 business days (if you're in a regional or remote area).
We use original parts in our repairs wherever possible if we're official repairers for the manufacturer — as we are in the case of R.M. Williams products, for example. In other cases, we use non-branded parts that are nevertheless of the highest quality.
Yes. We stock a variety of cleaning, conditioning, polishing and other leather care products. We'd be happy to ship these to you. Simply mention what you're looking for while completing our online order form (if you're also planning to get your boots repaired), or reach out (if you're not planning to get your boots repaired).
Once you submit your online order form, you'll be given a token that allows you to track everything online, throughout the process of getting your boots repaired.
And whenever your boots are in transit (whether on their way to our workshop via Australia Post or on the way back to you via courier), you'll have a parcel tracking number and receive real-time shipping notifications by email.
Yes, you can drop off and pick up your boots at our workshop in Martin Place, Sydney provided that:
- You first complete your order online;
- You let us know (in the order form or by follow up email) that you'd like to drop off and/or pick up at the workshop; and
- We have emailed you a ticket that you'll need to print out and hand over at the workshop for ID and proof of payment.
