SoleHeeled offers convenient and affordable Bally shoe repairs by Australia’s best craftsmen, with free shipping to your door. This case study outlines how we recently repaired a customer’s Bally shoes.
The shoes
These Bally Janelle loafers were brand new with unprotected leather soles. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to install a pair thin rubber half soles that would work to protect the leather soles and offer greater traction to the wearer.
Sole protector installation
We started off by preparing a sole bed on the original leather soles, sanding them down carefully to create a depression into which the new rubber soles can be installed to sit flush with the rest of the leather soles. We then glued and pressed down the new rubber soles before carefully shaping the edges so that they perfectly matched the shape of the shoes.
