SoleHeeled offers convenient and affordable Valentino bag repairs by Australia’s best craftsmen, with free shipping to your door. This case study outlines how we recently repaired a customer’s Valentino bag.
The bag
The canvas strap on this Valentino Garavani belt bag had torn away, probably where it tended to carry the most pressure while worn. When this customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to repair the strap, carefully re-securing it to the body of the bag.
Strap repair
We started off by undoing the stitching on the leather panel to which the strap end was connected. We then carefully repaired the damaged canvas, using a special glue to firm up the canvas where it was fraying. We then slotted the canvas strap end back into place and restitched the leather on either end.
