We began by cleaning to badge to remove any dirt and debris. We then polished the hardware, to buff out the scratches as much as possible. The hardware was finally re-plated and polished. This involves coating the metal with a special solution and using an electrical charge to bond a new layer of 24k gold to the surface. We repeated this process multiple times to restore the original gold colour.
