The shoes

One of the leather straps on these Valentino Rockstud shoes had torn, leaving the shoe unwearable. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to repair the strap by rejoining the torn leather, with a thin leather patch underneath for reinforcement.

Strap repair

The leather strap on this shoe was torn around one of the rockstuds, so we began the repair process by removing the rockstud and setting it aside. This allowed us to focus on just the leather, which we were able to re-join with the help of a thin leather patch that we stitched into place on the underside of the strap. We finished off the repair by touching up the leather around the gaps to minimise the visibility of the gaps and reinstalled the original rockstud.
