The shoes
The leather soles on these Jimmy Choo Misty 120 shoes were visibly worn and remained unprotected and so prone to further, accelerated wear and tear. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to repair the soles and install a pair of premium rubber sole protectors.
Protective sole installation
Jimmy Choo are well known for their elegant designs, many of which feature incredibly soft leather soles with a barely-there profile. These leather soles tend to show signs of wear fairly quickly — even if, as in this case, they have been worn for only a single wedding day. We began by the process by sanding down the original soles around the balls of the feet, to create a bed for the protective soles to be installed and sit flush with the rest of the soles. This method means we avoid compromising the profile / silhouette of the shoes.
We then installed a fresh pair of premium Casali protective soles. These are made with a premium, silk / satin finish (without any unsightly branding) and a light nude colour that blends in better with the original soles. They are made from a highly durable material that is also resistant to abrasion and discolouration and helps to enhance traction / grip during wear.
