The leather on these Gucci Leather Drivers was heavily scuffed and torn, particularly around the toes and the backs of the heels. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote we offered to clean and condition the leather uppers before, repairing the tears and recolouring / refinishing the damaged leather.

Leather restoration

We began by cleaning and conditioning the leather uppers, to remove any dirt / debris from the surface and then nourish the leather. While the leather was torn in multiple places, only the outer leather was affected — the inner lining remained in good shape. For this reason, we opted to repair the tears using a specialist leather filler, to seal them up and prevent further damage around the loose leather. With the tears sealed up, we proceeded to custom mix a colour based on the existing and use that to recolour / refinish the leather throughout the uppers.
