These Gucci Jordaan leather loafers were brand new, but the customer was not quite fond of their dark green colour. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to clean and condition the leather, before re-dyeing the uppers to black.

Colour change

We began by cleaning and conditioning the leather uppers to prepare the leather for the dye. This removes any surface dirt / debris that can impact the overall consistency of the new colour — even on otherwise new shoes.

We then applied a black dye to the leather in thin coats, leaving plenty of time for each coat to dry in between. And finally, we applied a specialist leather finisher, to seal in and protect the new colour and to restore the shoes’ glossy original glossy finish.
