SoleHeeled offers convenient and affordable Gucci bag repairs by Australia’s best craftsmen, with free shipping to your door. This case study outlines how we recently repaired a customer’s Gucci bag.
The bag
This Gucci Ophidia bag was in great condition, but the monogram canvas was starting to fade in one spot. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we used a fine brush and custom mixed colours to touch up the canvas by hand.
Canvas colour touch up
We began by lightly cleaning the affected canvas, to ensure the surface was free of any accumulated dirt / debris. Having then custom mixed colours based on those on the existing, we proceeded to use a fine brush to re-draw the monogram pattern, carefully by hand. We finally treated the canvas with a specialist sealant to ensure the canvas pigment would not easily rub away with wear.
