The shoes
While these Fendi Espadrille Wedge T-Strap shoes were in great condition, the elastics around the ankles had stretched out over time, leaving the shoes unwearable. When the customer reached out to us with a free diagnosis/quote we offered to replace the elastics with entirely new ones.
Strap replacement
We began by unstitching the black elastic straps from the patent leather around the ankles. Having sourced suitable replacement elastic equal to the original elastics in width, we proceeded to cut pieces of elastic — based on the length of the original straps, but slightly shorter to account for the stretching. We then carefully stitched these elastics into place, following the existing stitching lines.
