These Valentino flats, no less elegant without any signature rockstuds, needed protection around the leather soles, which had been worn merely a few times but already showing noticeable signs of wear. When this customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to add a pair of thin protective soles over the top of the original leather soles.

Protective rubber soles

We started off by cleaning the leather soles to remove any dirt and other impurities on the surface, and sanding down the leather lightly to remove bumps and smooth out the leather. We then cut two pieces of premium Topy rubber, about as thin as a 10 cent coin, and installed them over the top of the leather soles. We sliced the new soles at the ends so that they sat flush with the rest of the leather soles and we sanded them down around the sides to match the shape of the shoes.
