SoleHeeled offers convenient and affordable Prada bag repairs by Australia’s best craftsmen, with free shipping to your door. This case study outlines how we recently recoloured a customer’s Prada bag.
The bag
The straps on this vintage Prada bag had seen better days, being damaged and then suffering a botched repair. When the customer reached out to us for a free diagnosis/quote, we offered to replace the straps with an entirely new pair.
Saffiano leather strap replacement
We began by removing the existing straps from the body of the bag, keeping the original buckles aside for reuse. We then crafted an entirely new pair of straps based on the design of the original straps, using fresh saffiano leather (with a criss-cross texture, commonly used by Prada) to match the original leather straps. We finally stitched these straps into place alongside the original hardware.
